"The New We"
Caught up in the monotonous routines of daily life, the perpetual struggle to make ends-meet, and the many turmoils of the modern era, we often feel deflated and burnt out. While our faith provides us the means and methods to renew ourselves and our aspirations, we must go one step further and examine our unique circumstances today and redefine, with conviction, the greater purpose of our lives.
Clearly, over the last few years, the Muslim community has seen the emergence of an emboldened, articulate, and confident voice resonating from the hearts and minds of young Muslims globally. Daring to dream for a better tomorrow, their vision is rooted in Islam but nurtured here; it is both Canadian and Islamic.
As we attempt to navigate and explore the theme of "The New We" we hope to define a truly authentic, morally rooted, and socially engaged identity for Muslim Youth in Canada, that can change the world for the better.

Known for her large-scale works that merge traditional Arabic script with abstract art, Naveen invites participants to explore the expressive power of calligraphy as both a visual and spiritual art form.
In this session, attendees will learn foundational calligraphy techniques and create a personalized piece inspired by the conference theme: “The New We.”
All supplies will be provided—no experience necessary.

Join us for a screening of Taboo, a short film that explores the tensions between faith, mental health, and friendship within Muslim communities. When her best friend attempts suicide, 20-year-old Naureen is confronted with a difficult reality—how to show up for someone in crisis while wrestling with her own beliefs and internalized biases.
This honest and emotional story invites viewers to reflect on allyship, stigma, and what compassion truly looks like in moments of struggle.
Discussion will be led by Shaykh Mohammed Bemat from ISNA Cares, and Humza Ali from Canadian Muslim Counselling.
