The month of October, Islamic Heritage Month, is a celebration of the rich and diverse contributions of the Muslim community to Canada’s cultural mosaic.

Since its inception in 1983, ISNA has played a pivotal role in leading and empowering more than 1 million Canadian Muslims from coast to coast. ISNA Canada has been instrumental in organizing educational programs, interfaith dialogues, and charitable initiatives that have not only strengthened the bonds within the Muslim community but have also promoted understanding and cooperation with the wider Canadian society.

October 1 – 7
For our first stop of the month, ISNA Canada has invited all members of Parliament and Leaders to experience our one of a kind virtual reality journey of Islamic History at Parliament Hill, Ottawa.
October 9 – 13
Next stop will be at 4 different Peel District Secondary schools across Mississauga, offering students the opportunity to embark on our VR journey of Islamic History in between classes.

Our team is hosting a Open House for all that wish to learn more about the valuable work we do. Explore our sacred space, experience our one of a kind VR, engage with our friendly staff, and savour delicious food as we foster understanding and community bonds.
October 14 – 15
Next, you can find us at Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum as we offer attendees the opportunity to delve into Islamic History like never before.
October 16 – 21
Next stop is Eaton Centre, Toronto! We will be offering our VR experience to shoppers interested in learning about Islamic History as well as our events, programs and services.

Our final stop is our open house at Jami Mosque, Toronto. Today, Jami Mosque is a hub of worship, community service, and Canadian Islamic history and is known as the mother of mosques across the GTA. You can join us at this open house to learn more about this mosque’s rich history and its current programs and services being offered to the Downtown Toronto community!
